Chrisean “Woo” Nealy
August 22, 2017 would have been Chrisean “Woo” Nealy’s 18th birthday. His family and friends celebrated without him, because Chrisean was fatally shot and killed almost a year ago at age 17. It happened last year on September 16, 2016, in Richmond, CA.
His mom, Chantee Nealy, posted this on Facebook on his birthday: “Today is my sons 18th Bday. Its a hard day for my husband and I. WOO I can’t even explain how feel I know that I’m going to keep your name alive and your Legacy going. Im so upset that you had to go so soon. I love you but you know that things have changed so much people move on and people forget so I have to remind them that you live through us, you loved ones, your family. Hey you got your own team Ball In Peace Angels. Chrisean Edgar Nealy, we love you and We will keep you alive forever.”
Chrisean loved basketball, and was a rising star with potential to go all the way to the NBA.
His mom, Chantee Nealy, decided to start a basketball team in memory of Chrisean. The team includes her youngest son, Chriseanie, who is following his older brother’s legacy – he also loves basketball! The team has 9 & 10-year-old boys from Richmond, CA, and is called BIP Basketball. BIP stands for “Ball In Peace”. Chantee is successfully turning a tragedy into a family legacy that the whole community will benefit from!
Ball in Peace, Woo💙
